Make a simple plan for social cricket

A good casual session starts with people, permission and a shared idea of the game—not just a location pin.

  1. Agree the kind of game

Decide ball type, experience level, group size and how long you want to play. For mixed experience, ask a knowledgeable organizer to help choose suitable equipment and rules.

  2. Check access

Compare the City’s drop-in and bookable categories. Neither a park address nor a directory listing guarantees an available pitch or permission for an organized event.

  3. Send one clear plan

Share the exact pitch, meeting time, organizer contact, equipment arrangements and how cancellation will be communicated. Do not advertise an event until the venue is arranged.

A first message you can adapt

Copy this and replace the bracketed text before using the organizer’s own contact route. Keep a child’s full name and other private details out of an initial enquiry.
